Your Thinking Determines The Course Of Your LIfe

It has always been said one is a product of his or her thoughts. The mind perceives the reality and conceives a plan to either embrace or reject the reality. A story is said of a professor that filled a glass of water halfway and asked the class to describe the situation. Some said that the glass was half-full, others said that the glass was half empty while a group said that the glass was more than it was required. How you answer the same question determines your outlook in life. Psychological studies have shown that one’s outlook in life affects his or her judgement and course of actions. Further, it also affects one’s reaction to situations.

Positive thinking does not mean that you should hide in the sand and ignore the problems that are facing you. However, the mode of approaching situations and making judgements shows that one is optimistic in life. Optimism is looking at the brighter side of life. Here are a few facts that you should put in place and maintain positive thinking in life.

Take responsibility for your actions

Many people tend to point fingers at others when they make mistakes in life. This self-defensive behaviour tend to pass on the responsibility for ones mistakes in life to others. The mindset that one’s success or failure is based on the actions of the others creates a situation where one becomes dependent on others and not self-dependent. It also creates carelessness acting on different situations that one is faced with. Do not play victim; take responsibility for your life.

Get positive people around you

It is good to hang around friends that give constructive and honest opinions. Friends that always whine about different problems every time poison your mind. This makes you see situations on negative light. Likewise, it is also advisable to keep away from friends that pamper you with praises even when you have made decisions that are good. Good friends will critic careless decisions and advise you to change.

Smiling

The value of a smile cannot be underestimated. When you smile at someone, chances are that the other person will be smiling at you. It is also good to face difficult situations with a smile. It creates self-confidence and tones down the tension of the moment. Try smiling at yourself at the mirror and it will you will brighten your face!

Accept that you cannot change everything

There is no need of pushing against a brick wall. Chances are that you cannot break the wall with your bare hands. There are situations in life that you cannot change. Accept what you cannot change and move on. However, try changing what you can when you can.

Change your attitude

Some situations need a change of altitude to jump-start. For example, a student may fail to pass in mathematics for he or she hates the subject or the teacher. This creates a wall such that he or she fails to appreciate the subject and eventually misses the concepts. Avoid entertaining negative thoughts on any situation for it clouds your mind and you fail to see an opportunity in waiting. Positive thinking will help reach your goals and aspirations in life with fewer struggles.

A Better Understanding Of The Law Of Attraction

Ever wondered why you keep on attracting unwanted people or happenings into your life? The answer squarely lies in the law of attraction which states, that your mental intention, attitudes and your actions draws people and things of the same attitude, intentions and actions to your side. Whatever you give your focus attention and energy to will definitely come to your side whether wanted or unwanted. Therefore stop asking yourself questions like why do I keep on falling for the wrong person every time and why is this happening to me? This law is actually true as can be seen below

When we think and act in a particular way we send different messages to people around us. If you are constantly complaining, stressed out, depressed, frustrated and disappointed with what you do, the next person you will attract is a sympathiser or someone who also has the same problem like you do. Instead of someone who will help in getting you out of that situation you will attract someone with the same problem.

It is true to say that when you enjoy what you do, feel enthusiastic, appreciative, loving, prosperous, and peaceful and above all relaxed you will attract successful people; individuals around you will be respectful and happy. You will feel successful even if you are not. It is our state of mind and actions that attract and dictate on the type of people we attract and events in our life. Generally the law of attraction is a very powerful law and we should be careful about who we attract.

This law goes ahead to state that the world around us responds to whatever we offer. If you offer peace, love and appreciation to others the world will offer the same or even more of what you have been offering. The opposite is also true. If you have been untrustworthy, unforgiving and bitter do not expect better treatment from people around you simply you will attract people who think and act like you do.

The other part of the law of attraction that is unknown to many is that when respond unconsciously to events and things that happen around you, you tend to remain stuck in that position for sometime. It is as a result of this fact that the lives of some individuals rarely change. They remain doing the same things or mistakes over and over. They create a cycle of repetitive reality. If you respond to what you see and observe either positively or negatively and you can not change this attitude or mind set, the universe will send to you what you more of what you have been thinking and seeing. Therefore in order to break this cycle change your attitude and the way you view things and people.

In conclusion the law of attraction is very clear on who or what you attract into your life as you will only attract people who think and perceive things the same way you do. So if you want to attract open minded people be open minded, if you want to attract people who are appreciative be appreciative you self and so on and so forth.

Think Positively: Thinking = Quality of Life

‘Life is a wreck, life is unfair am tired of this life’ these are utterances commonly used by individuals who have lost hope in life or have given up in life. This is very wrong as life is supposed to be smooth and enjoyable. Such individuals lack the basic knowledge that life is what you make it. You actually do not need to visit a meditation camp or pay huge fees to attend life coaching sessions. It is important to realize that the problem is with your understanding of life. The following are tips that can help one live a positive life and enjoy the little pleasures in it.

  1. Have a goal – A dream, desire or a goal is something very important for one to live positively. This is the driving force or something you wish to achieve thereafter or in a short while. Having a goal or desire to do something important in life will guide you into achieving it and also it will give you a focus. Therefore for a start it is important to have a goal in life for one to live a positive life.
  2. Get the right attitude – A positive attitude is very important to any one who wants to achieve a particular goal in life. For one to live a positive life, the way he or she reacts to some people and circumstances should completely change to positive. When something happens or occurs view that circumstance positively rather than negatively.
  3. Overcome fear – Did you know that fear can actually prevent you from living a positive life? Yes this is true only if you let it take control of your life and what you do. It is normal for a human being to fear unfamiliar things and life threatening situations but you should not let that fear hinder you from achieving your personal dreams and goals. Never give up whenever fear occurs in your life face it squarely and overcome it, do not ever succumb to fear.
  4. Stop stressing yourself about the past – Most people spend hours and hours thinking about and revisiting the past. This is wrong as it will make you bitter and will even make you unhappy. It is hard to admit that the past is gone but that is the bitter truth and you have to move forward. Because going back to the events in the past will solve nothing and you can do nothing about it therefore the sooner you realize that there is little you can do about it the better. What is done is done.
  5. Never seek happiness in people or things – The first place to find happiness is within you; do not look for happiness anywhere else. Once in a while whenever we feel unhappy we tend to look for quick solutions to happiness somewhere else. The worst is, we end up looking it in other people who instead of solving our problems we end up making us adopt some bad habits for example drinking or smoking in order to quell our negative thoughts. Bond with your innerself and make yourself happy from within. This is the best way to live a positive life.

If the above tips on how to live a positive life are followed, many people will enjoy life and bad attitude and negativity will stop.
